Practice Diary 3
In this lesson me and my group went over our version of the Reggae cover of Miley cyrus' - Wrecking ball. I played rhythm guitar going through all the bar chords. Saxona is our singer as she has a good pitch level for the song. Dan is our bassist as he's good at improvising bass lines. and Ed is our drummer as its a common thing that you have drums in reggae music to keep the beat going. Our lesson went well and we managed to play through the whole song with only a couple of minor mistakes. From rehearsing at home my ability at changing between chords as opposed to power chords had greatly improved hence the song sounded good. Overall our rehearsal of the song went well, all the timings were accurate and we managed to keep our cover of the song as close as possible to the original yet still making it our own. For example Sax's vocals were the correct pitch and all the notes were hit, however the actual song is a synthesiser yet we managed to convert the song onto bass drums and guitar and it was an overall sucess.
