Practice Diary 9
Today I practiced the major scale. This scale is very beneficial to know as it is very common amongst rock n' roll songs and early rock songs. The major scale uses all of your fingers which therefore made it tricky for me to get to grips with at first however after a while of going through it slowly and working through it faster and faster i am now able to play songs and solos based in the major scale. Learning this scale was most beneficial when we had to make our own original songs in the style of certain decades of music. I used the major scale when we made a 50's style song in order to do a sort of walking bass line as this was typical to the 50's decade of music.
