Practice Diary 8
Today i practiced my knowledge of the pentatonic minor scale. This scale is one of the most common scale's used when playing guitar although very simple i struggle to play it at a good tempo. The scale is used in the song R U mine by Arctic Monkeys. To get to grips with this scale i played it slowly to get used to which finger had to go where and gradually got faster and faster until i could play the scale. Learning this scale now allows me to improvise solos in the original songs that we made in lesson for example in our 60's style song i used the pentatonic scale to create the solo.
